Whirlwind Accelerator V3.6.0 Released: Smart Split Routing & Node Speed Test
On August 26, 2026, Whirlwind Accelerator officially released version V3.6.0. This update focuses on smart split routing and real-time node speed tests, while also improving multi-protocol connection stability.

Smart Split Routing: Each App Takes Its Own Path
V3.6.0 lets users assign route rules per application. Users can select which apps should use the proxy, while unselected apps stay on direct connection. This solves the speed loss caused by one-size-fits-all acceleration. For example, an exporter can route the browser through an overseas line while keeping internal systems on direct connection.
Rules support protocol-level and domain-level granularity. Domain rules can target specific websites, so only one overseas video site goes through the proxy while the rest stays direct. Rules sync automatically across devices.
Real-Time Node Speed Tests: Choose Nodes with Data
Previously users could only see a vague latency reference. V3.6.0 adds real-time speed tests to the node list, showing latency, download bandwidth and packet loss instantly.
Results are visualized with color: green for latency under 50ms, yellow for 50-100ms, orange above 100ms. This turns node selection from guessing into data-driven decisions.
Protocol Optimization and Stability
V3.6.0 also optimized the handshake process for WireGuard and OpenVPN. Internal tests show that under weak networks (about 5% packet loss), average WireGuard connection time dropped from 3.2 to 1.8 seconds, reducing wait time on public WiFi.
